The name of Rita Gahatodi, a resident of Chandmari of Lohaghat in Champawat district, has been sent by the administration to the Ministry of Home Affairs for the Padma Shri award.
Earlier, Rita Gahatodi ji has also been honored with Tilu Rauteli Award in the year 2013 by the state government.
Rita Gahatodi was also made the brand ambassador for the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign by the Child Development Department, Champawat.
चम्पावत जिले के लोहाघाट के चांदमारी की रहने वाली रीता गहतोड़ी का नाम प्रशासन की ओर से पद्म श्री पुरस्कार के लिए गृहमंत्रालय को भेजा गया है।
इससे पूर्व राज्य सरकार द्वारा रीता गहतोड़ी जी को वर्ष 2013 में तीलू रौतेली पुरस्कार से भी सम्मानित किया जा चुका है।
रीता गहतोड़ी को बेटी बचाओ, बेटी पढ़ाओ अभियान के लिए बाल विकास विभाग चम्पावत द्वारा ब्रांड अम्बेसडर भी बनाया गया।

Dehradun-based nurse Kamala Thapa was posthumously awarded the Florence Nightingale Award.
President Ram Nath Kovind presented this award to the relatives of Kamala Thapa in a virtual ceremony.
The Florence Nightingale Award is given by the Nursing Council of India.
